Camping at Double Island...

Here are a few photos from our holiday...

Jack absolutely loves these shoes at the moment. The first thing he says in the morning is, "Mummy can you put my shoes and socks on?" He wore them every day of holidays unless he was in the water.

We were away for 5 nights up at Double Island, camping right on the beach.
This is the view from our camper trailer.

My man doing some fishing...

My beautiful kids cuddling and playing in the water together.

Biggsie cooked a roast lamb one night and it was so yummy. Unfortunately I was in bed with a migraine so I didn't get to eat it until the next day.

Brekky cooked by Biggsie.

Handsome little fella..

Beautiful beach babe...

It was so nice in the evenings to sit around the fire with our friends...

View of our camper trailer. We had a great little sand dune for the kids (and Biggsie) to slide down on there body boards.

We went for a drive to Rainbow Beach with the friends we were camping with (3 other families). Stopped at the bakery for morning tea and then explored some tracks on the way back to our camp site.

Had a great time with these guys...

Another view of our camper trailer...

Warming my feet up over the fire at night (not standing on the coals)...

Wildlife on the beach...

Beautiful eagle flying above us...

On the last day we enjoyed some time up at Rainbow beach with our friends. They made the yummiest date loaf in a Cobb oven. Weather was perfect and we didn't want to come home...

Some poor sucker got bogged and was stuck overnight. They managed to get him out while we were up there having lunch.

  4. I've been waiting for you to post the holiday photos... Looks like you had a great time. Nice looking roast too - amazing what you can still do while "roughing it".

  6. Gorgeous photos, Mel. Looks like you had a brilliant holiday and great weather! Man oh man your daughter is just getting more and more stunning, isn't she? I loved the wildlife on the beach pic too. And the 4WD photos - I wonder whether our children will look back in amazement that we were allowed to have those fuel guzzling tanks AND zoom up and down the beach in them?? Fun times. Thanks for sharing. xoxo
