Catching up with friends...

We had a lovely time catching up with friends visiting from overseas.
Laura came with me and we had a lovely mummy, daughter date. We got out of bed while it was still dark and got ready early so we could slip in a few garage sales before we meet with all the other lovely ladies for a hot brekky and coffee. We had brekky at Riverbend at Bulimba and Laura and I were the first ones there so we got to browse in the bookshop first. I found this gorgeous blue and red paper with little kookaburras on it. It may not sound very exciting to you, but I've been looking for a paper for my office for weeks now and they are the colours of my office (and kookaburras are one of my favourite birds).
Anyway, back to Saturday morning... after catching up with our overseas friends and another round of coffees, Laura and I headed off for some shopping without the men in our family. It's much easier to go clothes shopping without a certain cute little 4 yr old with us. We love him very much but he had much more fun at home playing with daddy in the back yard, gardening, building a new door for the shed and filling the trailer for the dump.

My gorgeous 'project night' friends (Skye was away in Sydney but we missed her)

Beautiful 'Ivy Matilda'. (back up daughter-in-law if Tess ever says no to Jack)

Catching up with Bern who was visiting from Hong Kong.

And Caroline who is visiting from Cambodia. Miss you girls both very much...

Date with Jack & Chris...

I went on a date with my 2 favourite boys to a coffee shop at West End. Laura was at her pattern making course so we went for a drive and had afternoon tea.

I like visiting new places we haven't been before.

They had a cute little play area for kids. Jack loved it.

Here is my handsome hubby...

Here is my coffee and melting moment... I can't show you my face. It was 'bad hair day'...

There goes my melting moment... :)

Books beside my lounge chair...

These are 2 of the books beside my lounge chair at the moment. I also have about 15 books from the library that are all about New Zealand. We are planning our family holiday to the South Island of New Zealand. We'll be flying over and hiring a car and having a great time exploring and staying in beautiful places. I can't wait. My parents are coming too.
Just waiting for our passports to be ready.
Only 3 weeks and 4 nights until we leave....

Dr Jack...

A very handsome Dr Jack helped me look after Laura when she got home from hospital.

He even helped me deliver flowers to her that arrived at the door.

Laura is improving every day but still swollen after having her 4 wisdom teeth removed. I have taken photos of her but they are not for public viewing... :) She's as cute as a cabbage patch kid.

Cool photo...

I know it's a random post but I found this photo and I really like it so here it is... :)

Moments to remember...

Laura played keyboard for the first time at church on Sunday. I was so proud of her. She has taught herself how to play. I took these photos on my mobile phone so they are a bit blurry. Chris lead worship and Jack, well he played his guitar in the aisle near me...
