We had a lovely time catching up with friends visiting from overseas.
Laura came with me and we had a lovely mummy, daughter date. We got out of bed while it was still dark and got ready early so we could slip in a few garage sales before we meet with all the other lovely ladies for a hot brekky and coffee. We had brekky at Riverbend at Bulimba and Laura and I were the first ones there so we got to browse in the bookshop first. I found this gorgeous blue and red paper with little kookaburras on it. It may not sound very exciting to you, but I've been looking for a paper for my office for weeks now and they are the colours of my office (and kookaburras are one of my favourite birds).
Anyway, back to Saturday morning... after catching up with our overseas friends and another round of coffees, Laura and I headed off for some shopping without the men in our family. It's much easier to go clothes shopping without a certain cute little 4 yr old with us. We love him very much but he had much more fun at home playing with daddy in the back yard, gardening, building a new door for the shed and filling the trailer for the dump.
And Caroline who is visiting from Cambodia. Miss you girls both very much...

ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun day Mel. Hard to imagine you all so rugged up as we swelter up here. Missing you all and hoping to do at least one girlie get together when we are back.
